Which gaming console should you buy?

Which console to buy has becoming increasingly more complex? It's now not simply a case of picking the one with the top games or the next generation console/upgrade of the one you already have. The main consoles to choose from are the PSP3, Wii and the Xbox 360.

If you read my Wii review it describes this console as the most ground breaking when it was first released changing the course of gaming for years to come and spawned the newer controllers from its competitors. Since this original review Nintedo have improved its original Wii Remote, with the MotionPlus for an improved/increased accuracy. The Wii is great value if the type of games and controller appeal to you, a very good alternative to the other power-strong consoles.

If high grade graphics is what you're after, you should be looking at the Xbox 360 or the PS3. The PS3 specification boasts the best console graphically and is free to play online. The unit also doubles as a Blu-ray player and the PlayStation Move controller gives a wireless experience similar, if not better than the Wii MotionPlus.

The Xbox 360, on the other hand have a system called Xbox Live for online use, which does unfortunately come at a cost financially (but it is very reputable). The most interesting feature is its newest form of its controller, which is something a little different called 'Kinect', a controller less system that allows the users' body movements and speech to directly interact with games, like spinning a roulette wheel in a casino. A highly ambitious project leaving us in intense anticipation of its final results.

An in depth comparison can be seen in my console comparison review.

Dell-1250c

For years, almost all page printers based on laser engines, with only one main manufacturer with a printer that is based on an led mechanism. In the past year, however, two more suppliers LED printers have launched and the last is Dell. The 1250c is not only a deviation in the technology for the company, but also is billed as the smallest color laser-like printer in the world.

When you select it, it's hard to argue. The angular black box, a style that we used to have grown by Dell is smaller than many a mono laser printer.Use of the printer have to fold down the front panel display when a 150-sheet input drawer. ingenious, there is a cover for the tray that slides out of the machine to protect the stack of paper against dust and smudges. an export support is open from the top cover to documents as they feed from flipped.

The control panel is simple, with only a few LEDs (application) showing toner level and a few buttons to start and stop print jobs. On the back is a single USB connection, such as the 1250c has no network support.

The right side panel folds to reveal four neat little toner cartridges, that clip in place in literally a few seconds. You don't have to worry about drum or fuser replacement, as they are designed to last the life of the printer.

Dell rates the printer at 12 ppm for black and 10 ppm for color, but as usual, these speeds are a bit optimistic in the real world. We saw a maximum speed of 8.6 ppm printing a 20-page black text document and 6.7 ppm printing text and color images. This is a slow printer, even when you use the low price of the question.

Print quality is generally very good.Black text is crisp and clean and colors are bright and attract attention. There is good registration of black color and even pictures, typically a problem for colour page printers, are only a little on the primary colors.

The main Bugbear with the machine are the prices that Dell has set for The black cartridges toner cartridges. costs from 58 € and £ 61 for standard and high yield, with from 59 € and £ 65 for each of the color ones. these Awards Give best cost per page of 3.2 p for black and white and color 17 p. the black cost is not excessive, but the color cost is far above the norm, even for sub-£ 200 machines.

If you want to print color company, but not a lot of room for a printer, this machine may suit you. While it is relatively slow and its colour toner is expensive, it produces good quality print and is quiet for this type of machine. General A mixed bag.
