Which gaming console should you buy?

Which console to buy has becoming increasingly more complex? It's now not simply a case of picking the one with the top games or the next generation console/upgrade of the one you already have. The main consoles to choose from are the PSP3, Wii and the Xbox 360.

If you read my Wii review it describes this console as the most ground breaking when it was first released changing the course of gaming for years to come and spawned the newer controllers from its competitors. Since this original review Nintedo have improved its original Wii Remote, with the MotionPlus for an improved/increased accuracy. The Wii is great value if the type of games and controller appeal to you, a very good alternative to the other power-strong consoles.

If high grade graphics is what you're after, you should be looking at the Xbox 360 or the PS3. The PS3 specification boasts the best console graphically and is free to play online. The unit also doubles as a Blu-ray player and the PlayStation Move controller gives a wireless experience similar, if not better than the Wii MotionPlus.

The Xbox 360, on the other hand have a system called Xbox Live for online use, which does unfortunately come at a cost financially (but it is very reputable). The most interesting feature is its newest form of its controller, which is something a little different called 'Kinect', a controller less system that allows the users' body movements and speech to directly interact with games, like spinning a roulette wheel in a casino. A highly ambitious project leaving us in intense anticipation of its final results.

An in depth comparison can be seen in my console comparison review.

Gizmondo Europe Gizmondo

It is difficult to avoid the mapping for the Sony PSP (which may be why the Gizmondo Europe was so reluctant to send review units) so we can get it out of the way: Gizmondo not come close to touching PSP. He did not even challenge our increasingly neglected Nintendo DS for second place.

In terms of equipment, it looks like three years too late, sitting next to the game Boy Advance as something you'd be embarrassed to go out in public places at the software it lacks title "must-have" and the games are derivative (although support from EA is inevitable).PSP and DS offer games that rival home consoles, while the Gizmondo currently offers a lot of games that have emerged on the Internet.

Despite all that Gizmondo has some homebrew British charm and is one of several realistic portable consoles, which can claim time portable. She has some promising features that require the support software for the collection of consumer interest, but at the same time the Gizmondo looks likely will curate an egg for gadget fan and urban myth for everyone else.

Design
If PSP iPod from the gaming world and Nintendo DS Creative Zen and then somehow Gizmondo with scientific Oregon--cool features, but no style.

Two shoulder Buttons can act as Shrek ears, but they feel more comfortable than those queries, clicky on the PSP.Gizmondo also feels much better, with its rubber black cabinet, absorbing the shocks backpack carriage without damage in a nice touch screen is indented and therefore less prone to scratches.

Most portable consoles later proved to be not very portable, but the Gizmondo slips into a pocket with ease. This also means that the screen is about half the size of THE PSP and not in widescreen format.Key buttons will be reasonably compact, fully covered by your right thumb, which is much more comfortable than THE PSP in design, they clearly modelled on the Sony PlayStation, the classic template, but since this device "mulitmedia", action buttons have been replaced by play, stop, rewind and fast forward labels. It makes no difference in the game, of course, but if you're playing MP3s or movies, it makes it easier to naviagate.

The d-pad is adequate and principled stands for long-term use, but has no analog control Gizmondo--making it the only major consoles without this form of interface we despise, location and size of menu buttons--they are located at the top, so you have to adjust your hands to access them and even if you managed to overcome this crime against ergonomics, push them hard to register and their shape is thin, unnatural.

On the back of the VGA camera was placed correctly above, means that you are unlikely to have your finger over it when making a quick snap. as regards the quality is very much like a cell phone (though better camera phones are now offering 1-or 2-megapixel camera) No buttons take you directly to the pictures menu quickly, so if you see David Beckham outdoors and want to get a quick snapshot, you can ask him to wait for a minute while you wrestle console mode photos.

When you power off mode, you do not turn on the console, but if you have the console is turned on, you can charge up at the same time the consoles, many need to remember to not let the battery wear down completely while mobile phone battery will vibrate as a function of some games that vaguely uncomfortable nuisance when you play on the bus.

Gizmondo brand is very strong, beautifully packaged units, and when you open the box you'll find you'll get some free downloads from the site is a logical way SD format store games, but it also makes them quite fiddly and prone to getting lost ... Fortunately each game comes with storage case Gizmondo branding for two cards.
