Which gaming console should you buy?

Which console to buy has becoming increasingly more complex? It's now not simply a case of picking the one with the top games or the next generation console/upgrade of the one you already have. The main consoles to choose from are the PSP3, Wii and the Xbox 360.

If you read my Wii review it describes this console as the most ground breaking when it was first released changing the course of gaming for years to come and spawned the newer controllers from its competitors. Since this original review Nintedo have improved its original Wii Remote, with the MotionPlus for an improved/increased accuracy. The Wii is great value if the type of games and controller appeal to you, a very good alternative to the other power-strong consoles.

If high grade graphics is what you're after, you should be looking at the Xbox 360 or the PS3. The PS3 specification boasts the best console graphically and is free to play online. The unit also doubles as a Blu-ray player and the PlayStation Move controller gives a wireless experience similar, if not better than the Wii MotionPlus.

The Xbox 360, on the other hand have a system called Xbox Live for online use, which does unfortunately come at a cost financially (but it is very reputable). The most interesting feature is its newest form of its controller, which is something a little different called 'Kinect', a controller less system that allows the users' body movements and speech to directly interact with games, like spinning a roulette wheel in a casino. A highly ambitious project leaving us in intense anticipation of its final results.

An in depth comparison can be seen in my console comparison review.

Nintendo DSi

Play DS and DS Lite gamesCapable AAC music playbackLarger screens than DS LiteDoesn 't play MP3 audio filesReduced battery lifeCamera function is gimmicky

DSi is the third iteration of Nintendo's popular dual screen portable gaming system. It boasts several new features--dual cameras and audio playback, for example, make it more personal entertainment devices than handheld game machine.

It is available now for about £ 150.

Design
The first inspection DSi looks almost identical to the DS Lite, but there are a few key differences.Although a bit longer and wider than the Lite, DSi is 12% thinner. It also trades in Lite gloss black finish (Lite and DSi available also in white) for grain, matte black, which virtually eliminates fingerprints smudging and gives him the aesthetic almost retro.

DSi sports two cameras: the first of them live on the outside cover clamshell, the user, while other life at hinges, facing the user.On the left side of the device boasts a couple digital volume adjuster switches, while the right sports an SD card reader: gone is the Game Boy Advance cartridge slot, who lives at the bottom of the Lite.

Exterior cover plays host to one of two 0.3 megapixel camera.Other lives inside, along the hinge

Lattice speaker Lite, consisting of six small holes on both sides of the top of the screen currently take the form of two single, oval-shaped hole to help deliver louder, clearer sound. DSi dual screens — 83 mm (3.25) through waistband--76 mm (3 inches) displays on Lite.

Function
DSi sports a new, improved menus, like Cover Flow interface Apple iPod touch and iPhone is less than displays a series of horizontal grouped icons--representing application--and the speech bubble above most Center icon, explaining its function Icons can be viewed by scanning your finger or stylus, horizontally across the display.

Icon of the most useful is likely one to run regardless of the game, you've basically slot console but other applications--specifically designed and pre-installed DSi--will catch your eye, long before you run any game.

Status indicators was attached to the far left side of the hinge

First, the DSI sound allows you to record audio using a built-in microphone, and then if you like you--change speed and step recording until it sounds like a chipmunk a Dalek with sore throat is pointless.
