Which gaming console should you buy?

Which console to buy has becoming increasingly more complex? It's now not simply a case of picking the one with the top games or the next generation console/upgrade of the one you already have. The main consoles to choose from are the PSP3, Wii and the Xbox 360.

If you read my Wii review it describes this console as the most ground breaking when it was first released changing the course of gaming for years to come and spawned the newer controllers from its competitors. Since this original review Nintedo have improved its original Wii Remote, with the MotionPlus for an improved/increased accuracy. The Wii is great value if the type of games and controller appeal to you, a very good alternative to the other power-strong consoles.

If high grade graphics is what you're after, you should be looking at the Xbox 360 or the PS3. The PS3 specification boasts the best console graphically and is free to play online. The unit also doubles as a Blu-ray player and the PlayStation Move controller gives a wireless experience similar, if not better than the Wii MotionPlus.

The Xbox 360, on the other hand have a system called Xbox Live for online use, which does unfortunately come at a cost financially (but it is very reputable). The most interesting feature is its newest form of its controller, which is something a little different called 'Kinect', a controller less system that allows the users' body movements and speech to directly interact with games, like spinning a roulette wheel in a casino. A highly ambitious project leaving us in intense anticipation of its final results.

An in depth comparison can be seen in my console comparison review.

Nintendo 3DS

3D effect is extremely impressiveMechanical slider adjusts the depth imageSmooth controlsBuilt in Wi-Fi

If you lived in an underground bunker for the past six months, you've probably heard of some of the hype surrounding the upcoming Nintendo 3DS portable console. The wildly successful DS and DSi, DS 3 main attraction is that it allows you to play games in 3D without having to wear any points we recently grabbed a cheeky hands-on with 3DS and can report that it looks very pink.

The price has yet to be confirmed, but 3DS is expected to be available until March 2011.

In terms of form factor 3DS is similar to its predecessors. There are several new features, although. Popping open clamshell body shows two screens.Bottom bar is 77 mm (3 inches) resistive touch screen with a maximum resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. all new top of the screen is wider, 89 mm (3.5), higher-resolution 800 x 240 pixels.

You get really appreciate these 800 pixels, but as a 3DS assigns 400 pixels for each eye make the 3D effect works, this means that the image will have a 400 x 240 pixels, which is still a significant increase in resolution, compared to previous versions of the console.

Nintendo is to store information about what 3DS works very close to his chest, presumably to prevent competitors hurry competing products on the market before the console hits shelves. Nevertheless, we'd bet our grandmothers that 3DS main screen using Parallax barrier-layer on top of that is in the slot, allowing each eye to see a bit of a different image, creating stereoscopic display.

Use this slider to the right side of the 3DS to adjust the depth of a 3D image, the image completely 2D

The downside of this is that you have to keep your head a stable and constant distance from the screen to a 3D effect to work we discover that we are a bit manëvra, but we can move our heads approximately 3-4 cm left or right of Center before the spell was broken. We'd imagine that it would be enough to keep things, 3D during car bumpy ride, for example.

Our most important 3D screen seems mostly positive.Surround is completely seamless and offers impressive depth.Pilotwings Resort, simulation Games coming to consoles, we were really impressed with how far it seems distant attractions.Surround most impressive when he simulated depth and distance, and poking objects from the screen at you while several objects seem to appear out of the screen, most of the objects in the game were layered back in the display.

We are not losing focus on objects anywhere in our review we did not experience headaches or other mass trauma, as we played. We found playing on 3DS be very comfortable experience, while others may feel differently.

There is a slider to the right of the upper panel, which can be used to adjust the depth of 3D display. toying with this is entertaining in its own right, as it allows you to flatten the image by degrees until the display is completely 2D.We have found we ever need to adjust the slider, but it's a welcome feature and the ability to fine tune display goes a long way to allay our fears that surround can be overwhelming. The fact that you can disable surround at any time and not rely on the system menu in the game that Nintendo sees this as an additional visual enhancement, not a necessity.

You don't have to wear glasses to enjoy surround feels very liberation firstly you don't have to wear or carry around a bulky specifications, and looking at a display 3DS, in the context of the world around you creates a feeling of immersion that you get when your vision is the offset into the glasses.

Two megapixel camera on the lid 0.3 will allow you to make 3D photos

Secondly, there is no color, drainage, that you are having with normal based on stereoscopic 3D glasses. This is because the specification filtering of light before it enters your eyes.3Ds also offers the brightest, sharpest and clearest 3D display, we've ever seen.Due to the tiny sweet spot where vision surround we can't see it taking off the TV or movie theaters soon though.

3Ds sports two cameras on its cover, which can be used for 3D pictures: we were impressed by this function during the phase of taking photos and then you can tinker with options to make the picture look right while surround is impressive, it's disappointing to see that Nintendo has not given an opportunity to update the camera yourself--you'll be stuck with the same 0.3 megapixel camera that appeared on DSi. but now there are three blighters--two on the lid and one front edges within the console.

We also got to meet new analog stick to 360-degree movement and bumps the famous Nintendo d-pad down we found a worthy addition cane--it feels smooth and comfortable, and our thumb does not slip off the top, which is a problem, we experienced a few times with Sony PSP devices.

From what we hear Nintendo really wants to bring movies to platform 3DS we pressed a Nintendo representative details, but they did not disclose whether the company talked to any film or films like downloadable through 3DS built-in Wi-Fi or acquired on the cartridge.

We went to our hands-on session with Nintendo 3DS feeling skeptical but left giggling like babies birthday. as with any game console, 3DS, success will depend on the games available at launch and how well it we markets Nintendo certainly don't think it will not be able to power of 3D hardware. watch out for our full review.
